The following tours are an optional part of the 2007 Annual Meeting and are offered to allow meeting registrants the opportunity to explore the surrounding region.

Movie Capital of the World: Hollywood and Universal Studios, Hollywood, California
Saturday, May 19, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Monday, May 21, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Come and see the glamorous side of Los Angeles—Hollywood! The first thing visible to visitors on Hollywood Boulevard is the street is paved with sparkles of gold and silver representing the glitz and glamour of old Hollywood. First on the agenda in Hollywood is a visit to Mann's Chinese Theater where movie stars from the golden age of Hollywood to the present have been honored with their hand and footprints in concrete. Take time to see the famous "Stars" on the "Walk of Fame." Next door is the Hollywood & Highland shopping and entertainment complex, complete with a view of the famed Hollywood sign and the Kodak Theatre, home of the Academy Awards. There are many places to go to grab a quick bite to eat on your own. Next stop is Universal Studios Hollywood—the world's largest and busiest working movie and television studio as well as a world famous theme park that gives an insight into the fascinating world of movie-making. The 45-minute Backlot Tram Tour takes you on a narrated adventure through movie sets and special effects stages including King Kong and Earthquake. After the tour, there are many other rides and attractions to enjoy including Backdraft (special effects show), WaterWorld (stunt show), Van Helsing's Fortress Dracula (interactive exhibit), Shrek 4D (interactive movie) and the newest ride, Revenge of the Mummy, where a heart-pounding roller coaster has been created inside an Egyptian tomb.

The Best of Los Angeles: Los Angeles, Hollywood, Beverly Hills and Santa Monica
Sunday, May 20, 9:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Everyone has an opinion about the second largest city in the country, Los Angeles. Today you will see why so much is said about this unique city...the topic of movies, television and press worldwide. You'll see the ethnic side, the glamour, the movies, and even have time to shop! Today's tour will begin with a drive through Downtown. You'll see the tallest building in Los Angeles—the 72 story Library Tower, the Music Center and Museum of Contemporary Art. You will then stop at Olvera Street, the birthplace of Los Angeles. You will see an original adobe house and get a chance to stroll along the cobblestone street filled with shops, restaurants and entertainers. Your next stop is Hollywood to see the famous landmark, Grauman's Chinese Theater where you can match your footsteps with the Stars. Stroll down the Hollywood Walk of Fame where over 2,000 of your favorite show-biz celebrities are honored with a star embedded in the sidewalk. Next door is the New Hollywood & Highland entertainment district. The Kodak Theatre, home of the Academy Awards, is also located here. You will have time to explore the district and have lunch on your own before boarding the coach for a drive along the celebrated Sunset Strip. Along "the strip" you will see illustrious spots such as the House of Blues, the original Comedy Store, Tower Records and the Whiskey A Go Go. You will arrive in the incomparable Beverly Hills, one of the world's richest and most impressive communities. You'll walk down Rodeo Drive and see such prestigious stores as: Hermes, Tiffany's, Harry Winston and Armani before heading for the coast! The final stop is in Santa Monica where you will spend time at the trendy Third Street Promenade. You'll have time to browse in the vast array of boutiques, stores, and gift shops or you may choose to take a stroll and see a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean.

The California Riviera: Newport Beach and Harbor Cruise
Sunday, May 20 10:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Newport Beach is one of the premier coastal destinations in Southern California. It is recognized as one of the "Ten Best Beaches" by the Surf Rider Foundation. Today's tour begins with a 45-minute narrated cruise of the Newport Bay and Harbor. Enjoy a slow, leisurely excursion, through the bay's meandering channels filled with white sailboats, soaring pelicans, and lined with the resort homes/yachts of the rich and famous. See the location where John Wayne spent the last years of his life (his mansion has since been torn down by new owners), the long time home of actress Shirley Temple and the former homes of James Cagney and George Burns. After the cruise, there will be time to explore the adjacent Balboa Pavilion, a Newport landmark since 1905. The final stop on today's tour is Fashion Island, a shopper's paradise. This Mediterranean-style outdoor center features 200 stores, including Bloomingdales and Neiman Marcus as well as dozens of specialty boutiques. Choose from more than 40 restaurants including Cheesecake Factory, Roy's, PF Chang, Thaifoon, and Tutto Mare for lunch on your own.

Mission San Juan Capistrano and Laguna Beach
Saturday, May 19, 10:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

The birthplace of Orange County, Mission San Juan Capistrano, was founded more than two centuries ago. Today it is a monument to California's multicultural history, embracing its Native American, Spanish, Mexican and European heritage. Originally built as a self-sufficient community by Spanish padres and Indians, the Mission was a center for agriculture, industry, education and religion. During today's docent-led tour, guests will discover many areas of interest within the Mission walls. You can hear the tolling of century old bells and walk down its time worn paths. The serenity and peace amid the 10+ acres of lush gardens and cool fountains are cloistered by old adobe walls offers guests seclusion from the sights and sounds of a busy world. Visit Serra Chapel, padres' quarters, industrial area, soldiers' barracks, and cemetery. The Mission is one of the world's 100 most endangered sites and is host to art exhibits, public festivals, folk art demonstrations; performance arts; period demonstrations; and educational and cultural programs. On our way back, we will make quick stop in Laguna Beach, where you can stroll among the more than 20 art galleries that grace Coast Highway and feature everything from plein-art paintings to Native American and Contemporary art. Nestled amongst the art galleries are boutiques selling new and rare books, vintage jewelry and other antique items, home furnishings and much more.

Tour Pre-registration Instructions
Register now to guarantee your reservation for AUA Tours. On-site registration will be limited and will be accommodated on a space-available basis only and will be subject to a $5 surcharge per ticket.

To ensure tour availability, purchase tour tickets in advance. Deadline for advance registration for all tours is April 23, 2007. Receive an Early Bird Special and deduct $3 from the ticket price if purchased before April 23, 2007. Registration will continue after April 23, 2007 based on availability of tours. Kushner & Associates reserves the right to cancel a tour due to lack of participation. If a tour cancels, you will receive a full refund. Kushner & Associates reserves the right to change tour itineraries and make proper substitutions when necessary.

Full payment must accompany your registration form. Payments must be made in U.S. dollars by check or money order drawn on a U.S. Bank or by VISA, MasterCard or Discover Card only.

Tickets will not be mailed to you before the conference. Please consider yourself confirmed on your requested tour unless you hear from us, tickets will be available for pick up at the tour desk at the Anaheim Convention Center in Registration. There will be no refunds for written requests received after May 11, 2007.

Refunds (less $10) will only be made if written notice is received by May 11, 2007. Refunds will be mailed on Monday, May 29, 2006. There will be no refunds for written requests received after May 11, 2006.

All tours will depart from the Anaheim Marriott, adjacent to the Anaheim Convention Center.

Tour participants are to report to the departure location at least 15 minutes prior to the published tour departure time so that boarding may be completed in time for coaches to depart on schedule. Passengers arriving after the published tour departure time will be responsible for paying the cost of transportation required to join the tour in progress. Likewise, for stops at included attractions or dining facilities during the tour, passengers failing to return to the coach re-boarding location at the time stated for the resumption of the tour will be determined to have left the tour and have assumed responsibility for their own return transportation. No refunds will be made to passengers whose failure to follow the established schedule for tour departure or operation causes them to miss the departure of the coach.

Tour prices include English-speaking guides, transportation, admission and fees as noted in tour description.

No children under 12 years of age are allowed on tours.

    You must be registered for the convention in order to participate in the tours.

    Please note that the minimums are required and if not met the tour will be cancelled.

    If a tour is cancelled due to lack of participation, refunds will be given for the price of the tour.
